1. Is shipping by airline safe for our puppy?
Imagine yourself bringing a puppy with you on the plane personally-you are not allowed to take your puppy out of the kennel during the flight. The main difference is, however, that in that case the kennel has to be small and fit under your chair. With PetSafe® Airlines we are allowed to ship the puppy in a medium sized kennel and the temperature under cabin is guaranteed to be the same temperature as above. We never had any issues shipping our pups this way- it is actually quicker and less stressful than ground shipping. (Unless you stay within state lines).
2. What does PetSafe® shipping mean?
We only ship through PetSafe® Airlines. This means that we only ship with Continental Airlines and American Airlines. Both airlines are committed to provide a safe and comfortable travel experience for all of their customers, including pets. Because they share our customers' concern that their pets' flights are stress-free, they have enhanced their animal acceptance policy to transport pets as cargo. Their program is called PetSafe®. Under this program, the airline does not accept pets as checked baggage.
The program offers the following options:
• Dedicated 24-hour Live Animal Desk (Continental: 800.575.3335 or 281.553.5052)
• Weather conditions constantly monitored at all points
• The ability to track and trace the animal from its origin to its destination
• Personal handling in climate-controlled vehicles for connections over hubs when the animal will be exposed to temperatures above 85°F (29.5°C) degrees for more than 45 minutes

4. How does it work with deposits?

5. How protective is the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog?
The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is a working dog and is protective of your person, your family and other pets in the house. A male Alapaha is normally more protective than the female, in our experience. Both males and females will bark to warn you of visitors, but our females only warn us when someone comes close to the family and our animals. Our male, however, will also bark when people approach our house and our yard. This breed is not an aggressive breed and is not known to bite. Instead, they will bark and throw their body against you as a warning. They will only bite as a last resort-when all else fails.
6. How well does the Alapaha get along with other animals and children?
Our Alapaha’s are known to get along with children and other animals. We have various animals at the house, including a cat. In addition, we have three youngchildren. Our Alapaha’s get along with all and will play different with my cat than with my children. Instinctively, this breed knows how to play appropriately with each playmate.
It is very important to socialize your puppy immediately with other people and animals.
7. Is this breed athletic? Can I take them running with me?
The Alapaha Blue blood Bulldog is a very athletic and intelligent breed. When you take them for a run or a walk, they will stay close to you. In our experience, they always stay within your sight, even when not on a leash. They are avid runners and like to swim.
8. Are they easy to train? Are they easy to housebreak?
They are very intelligent and easy to train. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog will walk on a leash within a day and can be housebroken within two weeks. In addition, they will quickly learn your specific commands.
We familiarize the puppies with pine shavings and they are used to go to the bathroom on these pine shavings. Therefore, it might be easy for you to place some pine shavings on the spot they are allowed to use the bathroom, until they get used to your routine.
